The Organization

Historic perspective

The idea of congregating sons and daughters of Manyu descent living in the Washington metropolis was conceived in 1984 by eleven (11) patriotic and visionary Manyu men and women.  This initiative arose out of the need to create a support structure to assist new immigrants of Manyu descent just arriving in the United States of America, and who wished to take up residence in the Maryland, D.C and Virginia areas.

Since then the association has grown from strength to strength, conducting successful leadership elections that have seen seventeen (17) peaceful transitions of power.

In 2004, the association was incorporated and became recognized as a non-profit tax-exempt organization under section 501 © (3) of the United States internal Revenue code.
